Because We Were Born to Create

Thoughtfully designed creative experiences that invite you to slow down, explore, learn something new and reconnect with the satisfaction of making something with your own hands.

Every adult experience at CJS Creators Cabin is intentionally designed around both the artistic process and the human experience it creates.

Whether you join a one-off workshop, a collaborative experience with family or friends, a bespoke special occasion or a longer course, you'll learn genuine artistic techniques while enjoying the freedom to explore, experiment and create something that's uniquely your own.

Along the way, you'll naturally encounter the curiosity, experimentation, problem-solving, adaptability and satisfaction that have always been part of the creative process.

"We teach genuine artistic skills because participating in creativity is about so much more than the finished piece."

You'll learn genuine artistic skills, materials and processes while being encouraged to explore, experiment and discover your own creative voice. Rather than following a formula or reproducing my work, you'll be supported to make creative decisions, respond to the process and create something that's personal to you. You don't need previous experience—just curiosity and a willingness to have a go.

Something else happens when we create.

As our attention shifts to the materials in our hands, the decisions we're making and the ideas we're exploring, the outside world begins to fade into the background.

We become fully engaged in the creative process, giving ourselves the rare opportunity to slow down, think differently and become completely present in the moment.

For many people, that's one of the most rewarding parts of creativity, not simply the finished piece, but the experience of becoming completely absorbed in the process itself.

You’ll leave with more than a finished piece of artwork.

You'll leave with more than a finished piece of artwork.

You'll leave having learnt genuine artistic skills and created something that's entirely your own.

But perhaps more importantly, you'll have experienced something many of us don't make enough time for anymore:

the opportunity to imagine, explore, experiment and create simply for the sake of creating.

I believe that's something humans have always needed.

"Because creativity isn't simply about making art. It's about continuing to practise what makes us human".

You don't need to be "creative" to join us.

Like any skill, creativity develops through participation. The more we give ourselves opportunities to imagine, explore, experiment and create, the more natural it begins to feel.

That's why every experience is designed to help you participate, not simply produce something beautiful.
